Crankcase (crank tub) are usually made of aluminum die casting with a bit of metal alloys. Bathtub crank function as the home of the components in part of it, namely the components:
- Generator or alternator to generate electrical power power motorcycle
- Pump oil
- Clutch
- Crank shaft and ball bearings
- Gears or gear transmission
- As a lubricating oil reservoir

Bathtub crank (Crankcase) located at the bottom of the cylinder and is usually the section which is mounted on the motorcycle frame.
