The capacitor is an electrical component that can store electrical energy in a given period of time . It
is said in a certain period as though the capacitor filled a number of
electric charge , the charge will run out after a while , depending on
the amount of capacity capacitors . The amount of capacity is measured in units of Farad capacitor . In practice this size is too large , so that use smaller units such as microfarad ( μF ) or picofarads nanofarad .Capacitors have two types:a. polar capacitorIn
polar capacitor , the determination of the existence of poles of the
capacitor if you want to be associated with a series , and only work on
DC voltage . Polar capacitor has a relatively large capacityb . Non-polar capacitorIn
non - polar capacitors have no polarity so it can be mounted in an
inverted position on the circuit, and can be connected to the AC
voltage . Kebanyak non-polar capacitor size is relatively small , with unit nanofarad and picofarad.
The capacitor has a maximum working voltage indicated on the label in housingnya . Voltage
electrical circuit connected to the capacitor must not exceed the
maximum working voltage of the capacitor is concerned , as it will cause
permanent damage ( even in some cases , an explosion ). Maximum working voltage range : 10V , 25V , 35V , 50V , 100V and 250V for polar capacitor to 750V for non - polar capacitor . There
are two practical provision of capacitors , namely : 1 ) an empty load
capacitor acts as if the conductor ( Conductor ) , and 2 ) the full
capacitor charge bertndak as if the insulator ( insulator ) . Examples of Applications Capacitors on MotorcyclesApplication
/ use of capacitors on motorcycle electrical systems can be found in a
series of conventional ignition system ( using platinum ) , and ignition
CDI ( Capacitor Discharge Ignition ) with CDI either DC current (
unidirectional ) or CDI with AC current ( alternating ) . Figure 3.21 below shows the application of capacitors on AC current CDI ignition system :
Based on thepicture above, the capacitorin theCDIunit worksas the current store(100 to400V)of themagnetthathas beenin thefirstsearahkanby thediodewhen theSCR(SiliconeControlRectifier)is notactive.AftertheSCRgateGgivensignalflowforthe ignitionprocess, the SCRwill be activeand theconductanceofthe anode(A)tothe cathode(K).With thefunctioning oftheSCR,causingthe capacitorcurrentrelease(discharge)quickly.Thencurrent flowstothe primary coil(primarycoil)ignitioncoilfor generatesa voltage of100 to400voltsas thevoltageinductionitself. Due toself-inductionoftheprimary coil, then aninductioninthe secondary coilwitha voltage of15KVto 20KV.The high voltageis thenflowedintothe spark plugsparkin the formthat willbe usedtoburn thefuel and airmixturein the combustion chamber.
InthisfourtharticleI will discussone of theelectricalcomponents ofthemotorcycletransistors, aswe have seenbrieflytransistorelectroniccomponentthatcan streamordecidelarge currentflowto the control ofelectric currentis relativelyverysmall,by changingthe resistancetrajectory,Hmmm.for thefull article..pleasereadonthis blogarticle. The
transistor is short for transfer resistor , or an electronic component
that can stream or decide large current flow to the control of electric
current is relatively very small , by changing the resistance
trajectory. His ability is almost the same as the relay , but it has advantages such as transistors , namely :a. Flow control in the transistor is much smaller , making them easier to control .b . Transistors are not using a mechanical contact , so it does not cause a spark and more durable .c . Relatively smaller transistor sizes and compact than the relay .d . Can work on the working voltage varies .However, in addition to having the advantages , the transistor also has some disadvantages , among others :a. Error foot transistor connection will result in permanent damage .b . The heat generated in the larger transistor so if not given sufficient cooling , it will shorten the life of the transistor .There are two types of transistors , namely :a. type NPNb . type PNP
To determine whether a transistor is NPN or PNP can not physically . We can see from the code and match it with transistors handbook . In
the transistor current flow lsitrik there are two , namely the flow of
foot Base to Emitter ( or vice versa ) is IB - E and the current flowing
from the collector to the emitter ( or vice versa ) is IC - E .Application / implementation of the transistors in the electrical system is widely used as electronic switches . The
workings of transistors in brief is this: if there is a trigger current
( small current ) flowing from the base to the emitter current will
flow from the great collector to emitter ( for NPN ) or if there is a
trigger current ( small current ) from the Emitter to Base , then a large current will flow from the emitter to the collector ( for type PNP ).
Sample Application transistors on MotorcyclesApplication
/ use of transistors on a motorcycle electrical system can be found in a
series of semi- transistor ignition system and full transistor , a
system that uses a turn signal flasher transistor , charging system that
uses electronic voltage regulation , and so on . Figure 2 . below
shows the application of transistors on a full transistor ignition
system motorcycle : if the terminal TR2 base gets a signal from the pick
-up coil , the current flowing through R will tend to the masses
through terminal C to terminal E TR2 . As
a result there is no current basis so that TR1 TR1 will be OFF , so
that the flow in the primary coil ignition coil ( ignition coil ) will
be disconnected and will be induced in the second coil of the ignition
coil . The occurrence of the induction generate sparks at the spark plug.
Nah pada postingan Ketiga ini saya mencoba menjabarkan materi dengan tema zener diode, zener diode biasanya digunakan pada alternator pada sistem pengisian kendaraan. postingan lebih lengkap nya dapat dibaca diblog ini. Zenerdiodeisatype ofdiodethathas adiodepropertiesonly whenit worksvoltage(potential differencebetween his legs)have notexceeded thebreakdownvoltage(breakdownvoltage).
When the voltagegoes beyonditsbreakdownvoltage, this diodewillloseto thenature ofhis-diode.Zenerdiodesare widely usedonthe voltage regulator circuitonthe alternator.
ExampleZenerDiodeApplicationsonMotorcycles Application/use ofzenerdiodesonthe electrical system ofthe motorcyclecanbe foundin a series ofchargingsystemsthat useAC generator(alternator)withvoltage regulator(voltage regulator)electronically,as shownin the figurebelow:
Based onFigure 2above,the zenerdiodeworkstoactivatethe base of transistorT2whenthe voltageis betweenR4andR5havereachedthebreakdown voltagezenerdiode. With theoperation ofthezenerdiode, causingcurrentto flowinR1willtendto flowtothe massesthroughT2andsupplyelectric currenttothe baseof T1stalled.Thus therotorcurrent do notgetsupply of electric currentforT1is notalive(OFF).Alternatorrotorwilllosemagnetism, andthe battery charging processwill bestopped.
Adiodeis definedas an alloy oftwoelectrodes, one beingpositive(anode)andthe otheris negative(cathode)andonly allowcurrent to flowin one direction. Diodeis asemiconductorcomponentthat serves toallowcurrent to flowin acircuitdalarnonlyone direction(forwardbias),iefrom theanodeto the cathodeand blockthe currentflowingin the opposite direction(reversebias),this is possiblebecause ofthe characteristicsof thesilicon, orwafersinside thediode. Whenaconductor/conductorpositivevoltageis connectedto the anodeandthe negativevoltageconductoris connectedto the cathode, current flowsthrough thediode. If the connectionisreversed, the currentcan notflowbecauseofthe blockingcharacteristics ofthe siliconwafer, therefore thediodeacts as aone-way valve(check valve)andallowscurrent to flowin only one direction.
