STARTER SYSTEM
Venturing into publication of the first article for today I start with artkel about motorcycle starter motor and its working principle, its more obvious now to please read this article.
Electric starter system can now be found in almost all types of motorcycles. Starter system on a motorcycle serves as a substitute for the kick starter, so the rider does not need to crank his leg to start the engine. However, in general motorcycle equipped with a kick starter.
The use of the kick starter is usually performed if the condition electric starter system is experiencing damage or problems. For example if there is a low battery condition or damage to the starter motor so that the system can not use the electric starter to start the engine, the driver can immediately take advantage of the kick starter.
In general, the system consists of an electric starter, the battery, fuse (fuse), ignition (ignition switch), starter switch (ignition switch), switch magnetic starter (starter relay / solenoid switch), and the starter motor. An illustrative example is the position of the starter system components as shown in Figure 1. below:

Working Principle Motor Starter
Operation of a starter motor has much in common with the DC generator, but in the opposite direction. Starter motor converts electrical energy into mechanical energy (power play), while the DC generator converts mechanical energy into electrical energy. In fact, the DC motor will generate electricity when mechanically rotated, and a DC generator can spin (function) like a motor.
The motor can spin if given current flow based on the following principles:
At the time of the current flowing through a conductor (Conductor) A and B are located between the poles of a magnet, the conductor of A and B will receive the thrust by lines of magnetic force that arises with the direction as shown below 3:23. The main components consist of a starter motor; armature coil (coil anchor), commutator, field coils (field coil), and brush (Brushes). Based on Fleming's left hand rule above, the working principle of the major components of the starter motor is as follows (see figure 3. Below):
Armature and field coils are connected in series with the battery through the brushes and commutator. Sequence currents that flow from the battery, starter relay, field coil, the positive brushes, commutator, armature, negative brush and then to the masses.

At the time of an electric current to flow, the pole cores together will terbangkit field coil magnetic field. Armature is also electrified lines of magnetic force will arise according to the marking round arrows in Figure 3.
