ENGINE TEMPERATURE INDICATOR
(In this post I try to discuss about the workings of the engine temperature indicator .. and I tried on every subsequent post using the international language for the English language .. english Keith could, in the right hand column of the blog translations available) Any time the operator or driver will know that the temperature in the cooling system on the boundary conditions of safe or unsafe because the temperature indicator mounted on the vehicle .Abnormal heat rise hint or warning to the driver that the condition of the engine or other components are not working normally , therefore the driver must immediately stop the engine work before serious damage occurs .There are several types of engine temperature indicator , which is used by most bnyak Utilizing bimetallic or magnetism .
A. Engine Temperature Indicator With BimetallicIndikaor contained in the bimetallic receiver and sender use a bimetal element using elemenresistance called a thermistor .The way it works is , when the cooling water temperature is low, then high- value detainees in thermistor and almost no current flowing . therefore, heat a small wire generates heat , so that the needle only slightly curved , and when the cooling water temperature increases, the thermistor decreases prisoners . this causes the current flowing into the hea wire increases, so the heat generated also increased , as a result of the growing number of bimetallic arch , arched bimetal element proportional to the heat generated by the heat wire .B. Temperature Indicator With MagnetismThe way it works is , when the cooling water temperature is low, the high value detainees in the thermistor so that the current flowing in the coil operating small value causes weak magnetism . on the other hand limiting the current flowing in the coil no change . due to the limiting magnetization coil is greater than the coil operaing then the needle will be interested either left ( cold ) . when the cooling water temperature increases, the resistance in the thermistor will shrink . this led to the current flowing in the coil will increase operating therefore kemagnetannya will gradually get stronger as the diminution of the value of prisoners at a thermistor . the conditions are like this , then the needle will be attracted to the right hand ( hot ) . the higher the temperature of the cooling water , the smaller the resistance in the thermistor and the stronger magnet coil produced by operaing .
